In a contest organised by the Australian Bureau of Statistics, we asked which mall in New Zealand’s biggest city is the world’s best.
There are now more than a million people in the city of Wellington and New Zealand is known as the “mall of the world”.
To judge the best malls in New Zealander cities, we decided to ask locals about the experience of being in a mall.
As well as finding out what it was like to shop at a mall, we also asked about the shopping experience and how it has changed over time.
Our results are based on more than 10,000 visits to more than 100 New Zealand malls over a five-year period.
Our study showed that shopping in a shopping mall can be a great way to get to know local people.
We also found that, despite some major changes to the way malls are run, shopping there still remains a popular experience.
In fact, shoppers in Wellington and Auckland are more likely to buy something online, while shoppers in Sydney and Melbourne are more apt to spend money in the mall, especially if they are young or middle-aged.
But what about when the mall is closed?
Are there any places to shop on the weekends?
If so, where are they?
What about in the winter?
