FREEHOLD, N.J. — Freehold, New Jersey, has a new addition to its mall that will bring more visitors and customers to the area: Wolfchase Mall.
The mall will open on Monday and has been in the works for several months.
The opening is expected to bring about $3 million in spending for the area, said Mike Visser, the owner of the Wolfchases.
The Wolfchasing has been open since 2012 and is the largest mall in New Jersey.
Wolfchase will open in 2018, the Wolf Chases said in a statement.
Visser said the mall is the first of its kind in the country.
The rest of the malls are in the United Kingdom and Canada.
He said Wolfchaser Mall is the closest to New York.
“Wolfchases was the first mall in the world to open at this point in time,” Vissers said.
“I think it’s going to be a very special place for New Yorkers and people of all different ages.”
Wolfchasing, which opened in 2012, will open at the new Wolfchasers in the future, he said.
It is the latest addition to a string of new malls coming to New Jersey and elsewhere.
The U.K.’s Bournemouth International will open next year in New Brunswick.
The city of Birmingham, Alabama, is building a mall with two new shopping areas.
In addition to the Wolfches, the U.S. is building two new malls in New York City, including a new Hudson Yards.
