In the past few months, we have seen a number of malls being acquired by US firms in India.
However, in the coming years, it will be up to the public to decide whether they would prefer to have a mall that’s more than 200 years old or one that’s still being built, and how they will use the space.
One of the malls in the area is the one in the town of Vadodara, about 40 kilometres from where the mall is located.
It is a mall which was built in 1910 and opened in 1921, and was originally called the Old Vadoodara Mall.
The mall is the largest in India and is built on a total area of approximately 15.7 acres.
In the 1960s, when it was opened, it was a busy mall which served mainly the Indian middle class.
But the mall was later used by students who came to visit the nearby University of Madras.
Nowadays, the mall has been closed for nearly 20 years.
As a result of the closure, the town’s tourism industry is in tatters.
“We have been unable to attract tourists to Vadouda due to the loss of the mall, especially due to a number to recent changes in the law,” said Nivedita Gupta, a local resident.
She added that the town was struggling financially due to it being closed and the lack of development work that has been done there.
Nivedita said that the locals have been losing their money because of the sudden change in the laws which took effect last year.
While some locals had expressed their concern about the mall’s closure and the loss to the town, other locals had said that they did not want the mall to close and were more interested in the future.
This prompted the local residents to organize a rally in the nearby town of Bhatia, where they petitioned the central government to ensure that the mall remained open and the tourists who came there enjoyed it.
Since then, the local government has decided to build a new mall which will be bigger and feature a wider selection of shops and amenities.
With this decision, the Vadudas residents have also appealed to the central authorities for their land and have demanded that the local authorities provide them with an alternative solution.
So far, the authorities have refused to help them, but are now looking at other options.
According to sources, the government will now have to consider the mall and its surrounding area for development.
What are the main challenges facing Vadadodar?
According in a recent report by the World Bank, the country’s economy is struggling with low commodity prices, which has led to inflation.
Many of the businesses in Vadalas area, like the mall itself, are not yet fully functioning, due to which many of the locals are struggling.
On top of this, there is no infrastructure to allow the development of a new business centre or a new airport, which are both critical for a town that has long been known for its infrastructure.
Meanwhile, the surrounding areas are suffering from a lack of infrastructure as well.
Apart from the main road which runs through the mall which has not been constructed, there are also roads which have not been built and which are also in need of upgrading, which in turn affects the development process.
These issues are compounded by the fact that the village is in the midst of a severe drought, which is expected to continue for another four years.
In addition, the construction of the new mall is expected take five to six years, which means that the city will only have access to this area for a period of around 20 years, if all goes well.
