A massive shopping mall in downtown Chicago could be the next big thing in the American suburb.
It’s a step in the right direction for a city that has been struggling with poverty, poverty and crime, and a step toward creating a new economic future.
But for the long-term future of the area, this could be a step too far.
“The mall is a really important part of the revitalization of this city,” said Tom Wertheim, an urban planning professor at Northwestern University who has been tracking mall construction in Chicago.
“It has a significant footprint, it’s a huge shopping center.
But it’s also important that it’s open to the public and open to all types of activities, including the public.
And for the city to really grow in terms of commerce and in terms for jobs, I think it’s essential that we have that in the center of the city.”
It’s not a bad thing to have a mall, Wertheimer said.
“You have a lot of opportunities for the local economy.
It provides a lot more economic opportunities for people.
It has a lot to offer in terms in terms housing, it has a huge footprint.”
But for years, it hasn’t happened.
Chicago’s public-private partnership has been building out new buildings to make the city more attractive to international investors, including big-box retailers such as Walmart and Kohl’s.
The malls, which are part of what Werthei called the Northshore Mall, have a long history of serving the community and creating jobs, but the city has struggled with crime and poverty for decades.
A recent Chicago Tribune investigation found that crime in the city hit a peak in 2007, when the city’s violent crime rate was at its highest level in decades.
The city has spent hundreds of millions of dollars on renovations since then, but some malls have struggled.
The Northshore mall in the Loop, for example, has had multiple buildings demolished since 2011.
It is also one of the biggest malls in the world, but its redevelopment has been slow, even for Chicago.
It recently reopened after being closed for a decade.
In a report released last year, the Chicago Office of Planning and Zoning criticized the mall’s lack of investment in public-transit options.
In recent years, the office has been reviewing the city and county’s planning for the future, which it has not yet done.
A public-works department representative told the Tribune last year that the city planned to move forward with the development, but there is no timeline.
“They are looking at all the options,” the representative said.
In 2014, the city received a $500 million contract to redevelop the Northlands Mall, which is slated to open in 2019.
The mall’s redevelopment is expected to generate more than $600 million in economic impact.
But the city is still waiting on the North Shore Mall’s developer to submit plans for the entire property.
Werthe’s office has documented some of the challenges the city faces in revitalizing the city.
The developer, the company called Ryders Development, filed for bankruptcy in 2011, after the city failed to meet financial commitments to renovate the mall.
That has led to delays and cost overruns, according to WertHE’s report.
WERTHE also said the mall will not open in time for the 2019 Olympics.
That decision has been a source of tension between the city, which has been fighting the developer for months, and the developer.
“This is a major investment in the future of Chicago,” said Wertsheim.
And we’re not going to be able to build the project on its own if we don’t get financing.” “
But the question is whether this will be sustainable over time.
And we’re not going to be able to build the project on its own if we don’t get financing.”
Werther said that the developer has a long-range goal of opening the mall by 2020.
“What we are looking for is that this project be able meet its long-run goals of increasing commerce and creating new jobs,” he said.
The developers said they are in the early stages of development on the property.
“We’re very excited about the project,” said RydERS vice president of business development Kevin Riggs.
“I think the mall has tremendous potential.
We’re looking forward to working with the city of Chicago to ensure it is constructed in a way that is going to bring the best of Chicago’s shopping to the mall.”
